Enterprise Project Management Office in Asana?

Can you setup a project idea intake workflow with built in problem statement and business case? plus can you set criteria to prioritise projects at the enterprise level and view in prioritised order? are there templates for project artifacts such as project charter, business case, status reports, project approval , project closure, project risks?

Hi @anon77335790, welcome to the Asana Community Forum!

Thanks for your good questions. Here are some suggestions:

  • The natural fit for problem statements and business cases is on the Overview tab of each project. You can enter such items easily into the Project Brief in the Key Resources area. You’ll notice several Suggested Content options, and you can quickly drag and drop standard heading into your brief, such as Executive Summary, Background, Problem Statement, Risks, Proposed Solution, etc.
  • A very effective and actively maturing area to prioritize projects at the enterprise level is Portfolios. Create a new portfolio to track any custom grouping of projects. Then enter the projects you would like to track using the Add Work button. Then use the Customize area to add a Priority field. You can then use that field to prioritize each project and set your view to Sort by your Priority field.
