How to prioritize a list of projects and ideas for the year

We are a medium-sized nonprofit organization with about 50 staff. Our ELT (executive leadership team) has identified a list of 30-40 special projects, ideas, and new initiatives that we’d like to take on this year. Some of them would be complex projects that would require their own Asana project, and others are more simple and would likely be an Asana task with subtasks. We do not have the resources to complete them all, so I’d like to lead the ELT in a prioritization exercise. Do you have any suggestions or best practices to help me shape this in Asana? What’s the best way to view this entire list at once? Put them all in a project? If so, do you have suggestions for helpful sections or custom fields? Thank you in advance for your insights!

@Megan_Lewis3,

That’s a great question. I’ve been meaning to create a Community Tips > Forum Leader tips about this, so here you go!

Please let me know if it helps.

And I wrote it quickly, so please let me know if you find it hard to follow, or spot any areas for correction.

Thanks,

Larry
