Hi everyone,
I’m having an issue with the Slack and Asana integration. I believe this feature relies on an automation rule, and it seems like the trigger itself is failing. Here are the details:
-
What I’m trying to do: I want to use an automation where reacting to a Slack message with a designated emoji acts as a trigger to automatically create a task in Asana.
-
What’s not working or confusing: The emoji trigger is not firing at all. When I add the specific emoji to a message, the automation doesn’t respond, and no task is generated in Asana. Since there are no error messages or logs, it’s confusing to pinpoint the issue.
-
What I’ve tried so far: * I’ve checked the integration connection to ensure the Asana app is properly authorized in our Slack workspace.
-
I tried removing and re-adding the emoji reaction to see if the trigger would register, but nothing happens.
-
Additionally, I tried to manually create a new rule in Asana’s workflow/rule builder to fix this, but the option to create or select a “Slack emoji reaction” as a trigger is completely missing or cannot be generated.
-
It feels like the integration is failing to recognize the Slack emoji as a trigger. Has anyone else run into this issue with emoji-based automations recently?
Thank you!
