Email forward to a project not including body of email

I often use email forwarding to a project to get tasks into Asana. Up until yesterday it always included the body of the email as the task description. In particular, it included everything including the entire string if the email had a bit of conversation. As of roughly 10:30am Pacific Time on 11/18/25 it stopped working. The email comes in with the following now:

  • Subject is title of task
  • My signature line and the email it was forwarded from in the string are included in the description, but everything after that is missing.

Any ideas if this is a change in functionality? The help file still says that the body of the text should come through as the task description, but it is not. I’ve tried this from several email clients (Gmail, Mimestream) but both result in the same thing.

Anyone have ideas?

I think you should send Support the link to the task and a screenshot of the original email.

I was working on submitting the request when I tested again and the issue was fixed. No longer needed. I do appreciate how quickly the Asana team works. :slight_smile:
