It would be useful to have a feature where when you edit a project template, you have the option to apply changes to existing projects.
Edits or updates should include adding new tasks to a project template (which is not included in the bundles feature)
When applying changes to existing projects, you have the list of projects associated to the template and you can select/deselect the projects you want to apply the changes to. Incomplete projects are all selected by default while the projects that were already completed are unselected and hidden or collapsed but can be shown incase the user need to apply the same changes to the completed projects.
Once the user selects the projects that needs the changes, the user can click the “Apply” button.
It will also be great to have an option to apply the project template to an existing project that was not originally associated to the template.
This feature is useful as processes keeps on changing and improving.
Don’t forget to click the title to scroll to the top and vote by clicking the Vote button; that’s the quickest and most effective way to express your support for a request.

Once we have created a project it would be great to be able to “refresh” it if we were to update the template to add more tasks etc.
The new tasks in the template can be added/merged into the existing project. A great feature for if items were added into your scope on some long projects that require an additional section of work which would be time-consuming to add individually in multiple projects.
Apologies if I have missed this feature somewhere…
I think it is similar - but I wouldn’t want to create disruption by having the update automatically pushed, but give the project owner the option to refresh or not.
Is this an option within asana? As I don’t want to have a lot of projects and have built like a template/workflow which I want to use when I’m going for a new phase in the project
Do we know if this is in the roadmap at all?
We constantly update our templates, well at least twice a year so would be good to ensure we capture new steps into old projects to keep consistency.
