Why are sub-tasks duplicated in List view outside of their parent tasks and can you hide these by default? What am I doing wrong?

Did you add the subtask to the project as well? As that would explain why the subtask shows twice.

Thanks for coming back to me! Yes they started as main tasks then we found we had too much detail so rolled them under parent tasks instead - is there any way of de-duping them in bulk? I’ll read the link!
If you want to remove the subtasks from showing in the main board twice you can bulk-edit them with multi-select: Ways to save time in Asana | Product guide • Asana Product Guide is that what you mean?
Yes! I hadn’t made that work yet - I was able to multi-select but they weren’t dragging and dropping. You’re my favourite person today! Thank you for making a difference
