I am using the desktop app. When uploading a document to a task, one of the options is to upload from Dropbox. When the login screen pops up, I can click sign in. Then a popup window opens (likely directing to a browser window to sign in to Dropbox) then the popup window attempts to load and closes. The login never connects. I cannot upload Dropbox documents.
Hi @Abi_Harless, welcome to our Community Forum, and sorry to hear about this trouble. It looks like this is a bug specific to the Desktop app, and it has already been escalated to our Developers for investigation. As soon as I have any updates, I’ll let you know. In the meantime, I’d recommend using the web app. It’s working normally.
This was annoying me as it worked on my old work laptop but not on my desktop or new work laptop. There’s a workaround with Google Chrome! If you link to your Dropbox in Asana in Chrome, you can then click the three dots in the upper-right corner to ‘Customize and control Google Chrome’, go to ‘Save and share’ then select ‘Install page as app…’. When you click the shortcut, it will open in a minimal Chrome window – without address bar, bookmarks bar, etc – akin to the Asana desktop app. See attached screenshot, Asana ‘app’ edited to remove sensitive info. REJOICE!
