Hi @Chris_Visconti and welcome to the Forum!
Let me look into this for you, I’ll be in touch as soon as I have an update! In the meantime, if you’re not already using it, I’d recommend checking out our Outlook integration which allows you to convert emails in tasks or comments in Asana More details: Syncing Asana with Outlook | Product Guide • Asana Product Guide
Thanks for your patience @Chris_Visconti,
I have just checked in with the Team in charge of Microsoft, and it looks like it was never possible to directly drag an email from Outlook to attach it in Asana. However, you should be able to drag it from Outlook to your Desktop, and then into Asana. I’ve just tried it on my account and it worked for me; does it work for you?
The feature still works but only on a limited basis. It is frustrating because it is a great feature. It seems like it is more likely to be able to drag and drop if you have already attached a first email but even that is inconsistent. Sometimes I can come in and split screens and drop emails directly into an asana task and sometimes I can’t.
is this dropping an email from the Outlook App to the desktop to Asana Online?
No, for me I have Asana open in a Chrome Browser on one side of my screen and outlook on the other side of my screen. I drag the email directly from outlook and drop directly onto the chrome web page with Asana up over the task and it uploads the email to the task. But it only works sometimes.
but you are moving an email from the outlook desktop client to asana on the web. NOT outlook on the web to asana on the web. right?
yes that is correct.
