Does "view multiple teams" on FREE plan in 2024 still work?

Hi all!

I’m watching a YouTube tutorial on setting up Asana on the free plan. I’m interested in making sure this is going to work for my use cases (communicating with low tech church member clients) before I commit to a paid plan. In the tutorial, Kathy states that as long as your account was created with a business address (instead of Gmail, Yahoo, etc.), that you can create and view as many teams in the free version of Asana as you want. Here’s a screenshot of her Teams section:

Her video says it was posted a year ago.

So, my question is this: Does the Asana free plan allow you to create multiple teams/workspaces as pictured in 2024? If not, was it ever this way, or is Kathy mistaken? I’m looking for insight on the history of this in addition to the current state.

Research Done:

These are related to my question, but don’t address it fully: (error says new users can only put two links so I’ll just remove the https from them)

  • can-we-create-multiple-workspaces-on-free-plan/135375

I’m new here, read the guidelines and FAQ, but don’t see any clear answer to my question. I’m basically stopped and can go no further with Asana until I get an answer because I’m trying to set up “Clients” as “Teams” but not seeing them all in one place. Wonder if @lpb or @Phil_Seeman could weigh in?

Hi @Eric_L_Hepperle_Eric,

Yes, you can still have teams in the free edition as is discussed in that video.

Weird, I’m not seeing any way to have teams. I’m signed in with a business address and it still just says “Workspaces” instead of “Teams”.
