Display person's full name in the People field in List view (similar to Assignee field)

Hi,

On project level I have created a new field: “Solution Lead” and the field type = People.
When I select people on project level to this field I do not get to see the full name. I only see the profile picture. When I look to e.g. Owner (of the project) I see the full name.

Any reason why for my new field the full name isn’t visible.

Thanks.

That’s a current limitation of the people field indeed. That’s also why the profile picture is super important.

Thanks for the feedback. I rather have the name (or initials) instead of a picture. But thanks anyway.

Hi @Niels_Oomen , I agree with @Bastien_Siebman that profile photos are super important but I would also prefer to see the name displayed, especially if it is only one person; perhaps that could be the displaying rule.

I have gone ahead and converted your post into a Product Feedback since I did not already find an existing one. Now you and others can vote on this request, which I have slightly rephrased.

I agree, it’s very difficult for us not to see the names. We have created a dashboard to display all our disoveries in progress and display the PMs, designers and tech leads.
There are names in the hover, but in terms of accessibility it’s not really usable as it is. I was told the feature was designed this way but it doesn’t make sense to me as PM

Initially I tested with labels but it’s not at all practical for project management not to have the people. I can’t see myself proposing two fields 1 of people and another with a label knowing that this would add four and that I had to argue so that we could use asana?

Could you please pass this on to your product team? I’m really struggling to understand how they can justify this and what limitations are involved. Thanks for your help
