Dashbooard View for Projects

Is there a way to create a dashboard to show the number of projects instead of the number of tasks in that project?

For example, say i have 6 projects. But the views are showing me 27 tasks. I would like to show only the 6 projects instead of just the tasks.

Yes, this is possible using the reporting feature. Below is a screenshot of one way you could do this, but this could vary depending on what you are trying to accomplish.
