Hello! I used to be able to see the number of completed daily tasks at the top of the “My Tasks” section - while this wasn’t exact (if I completed something unassigned to me in a project for instance, it wouldn’t count that) - I liked having this and used it in my day to day. I can’t seem to find a setting that I turned off - can anyone help me turn this back on? Or was this an update to the platform that removed it?
I don’t know if this helps, I set up a report that shows my completed tasks, tasks that I need to complete, tasks in my recurring and in my calendar section. The report is in a browser tab that I keep on top of my second screen. It works as a motivator for me.
@Holly_Ritchie - I don’t ever recall any such feature being in My Tasks. But, there IS something similar in your homescreen.
Is this what you are referring to?
No it’s not unfortunately, there was a line, right by the blue add task button in My Tasks that used to saw how many tasks I had completed each day. I want to say it was right below it, and I know I saw it last week - it was only when I returned to work yesterday that I didn’t see it. The home screen one only has the option for week or month, not day unfortunately.
Thanks for your answer!
Thanks! I might have to give that a try if there’s no way to get back the running list. I set a goal of how many tasks I want to complete each day so not having this anymore has been throwing me off this week! Your idea might help combat that!
@Holly_Ritchie I’m right with you. There used to be an automatic field calculating number of tasks completed today right next to the new task button and it went missing about a week ago. I have created the report on a dashboard that was recommended by Herve, but it’s definitely throwing off my workflow to not have that count at the top of my board.
Also, it looks like someone else had this issue 4 years ago and it’s resurfaced with the latest Asana update.
@Hannah_Stokes Glad to know that I’m not the only one! I put in a ticket about it as well. Hopefully they’ll fix it since it is definitely messing with my workflow!
Wanted to share what I received from the support ticket I put in.
As per our Developmental team, we reduce the size of the header on home and this is the reason why you no longer see the number of tasks completed.
As a work around, to see the total of completed tasks in Asana, you can use the filter and sort options in your project. Set your filter to show “Completed tasks” to view all tasks that have been marked as complete. This will help you keep track of the total number of completed tasks.
This is obviously not a comparable workaround, but apparently this is where they currently are. I’ve suggested some alternatives for them.
Loved this feature! Im sooo bummed it is gone!
