Custom field dropdown ease-of-use (copy/paste, entering new values)

We want to use dropdown fields to store and populate frequently-used data (client name/phone, addresses, etc.) but the interface makes this difficult.

  1. I would like to be able to right-click and copy the value stored in a custom field dropdown to be able to paste elsewhere (e.g. copy a client’s email to paste into an invoice). Right now, right-clicking only selects a single word of the entry. Hovering the mouse over shows a pop-up bubble with the value but there’s no way to select or copy that text.

  2. Entering new values into the database takes more steps than needed. If I paste a new value into the field, I would like to simply click “Add new” and have it added to the database – right now I have to scroll to the bottom of the list, click “edit options”, scroll all the way down the list again, click “add an option”, and paste it there.
