Hi all! I’ve created an Asana form with custom fields. I realized too late that I finished creating the form with the custom fields that I wanted but didn’t create the same fields on the Asana board.
Is there a way to take the form custom fields and map them into an Asana board field? Or will I have to start from scratch and create the custom fields on the board first, and then map those fields onto my form?

I think your easiest approach is to edit the form, go to each question that needs to be re-mapped to a custom field in the project, click the “x” on the existing field to remove it, then click “Connect to field” and select the appropriate field in the project to map that question to.
If I’m understanding correctly, I think you’ll basically have to start from scratch.
I’m assuming when you write “I’ve created a form with custom fields” you mean that you’ve specified the details (like single-select options) of a form question right in the form definition, instead of connecting the form question to a Custom Field you’ve added to the project (where you’ve already defined those details).
If so, I’m afraid you have to recreate those Custom Fields, then connect the form questions to them. You can do that in a couple of different ways, including the one @Phil_Seeman mentioned.

I have the same issue as @Joanne_QB .
I’m creating a form with a single-select field, and would like to be able to select “create a field” from the form builder, instead of having to do duplicate work by adding the field with the single-select options on the board, and then link the form field to board.
This is a missed opportunity.
@PM_Karen, You can already do this: In “Field - Connect to field” type the name of a new custom field you want to create and it will start that from the form builder and connect it.
@Joanne_QB’s issue was about already creating form questions not connected to a custom field and now wanting to convert after the fact.

Ahhh yes this describes my issue accurately! I’ll need to start from scratch and recreate the Custom Fields and then connect the form questions to them.
