Can I map a form attachment to a custom field? If so, can you please share how?

@Jessie_Upp - welcome to the forum! Can you describe what you’re trying to accomplish a bit? Asana doesn’t have custom fields for files/attachments (those are done in the comments of the task).

I have an asana form and I’d like to automatically add the attachment to a new task. Is this done automagically? I haven’t tested it out because I thought I had to set this up by mapping a form field to a custom field.
@Jessie_Upp - if you have an attachments question on your form, it will automatically add those files to the task created from the submission. No need to map it to a field; you can find it down at the bottom of the task where you see comments.

Can I connect a form field to an asana field? All I see are options to connect to custom fields.
@Jessie_Upp - what do you mean by “asana field”? Could you give an example? There are certain metadata fields (e.g., created date, completed date) that are immutable (for probably obvious reasons). Some others (e.g., assignee, project, dependencies) can’t be set due to current product behavior.
Generally, you would want to map form questions to your own custom fields with your specific options.
