Create link to a tag in assana

Hey,
As part of are release phase we send a automatic release email.
We also have a tag for each release in Asana.
I would like to “create” automatically a link to the tag.
Is there a way to do this?

Welcome to the Forum @Ilan_Ben_Tal and thank you for reaching out.

It is possible to get the Tag link by following these steps:

  • Double click on the Tag’s name you want to focus on - you will get a view of all tasks in different projects that contains that particular tag.
  • From there you can click the drop down arrow next to the tag’s name
  • Select the option “Copy tag link”

Thanks for the response.
But this isn’t what i meant.
Ill try to explain better.

I have an script ruining in are release phase.
as a part of that script i send an email to are team.
I want to know is there a way to get the link for a tag automatically without a person going in to assana to get the link?
Something like Assana.com - Ready for Development and i can just change the tag name and it will work.

Hi @Ilan_Ben_Tal
Each tag has its own unique ID, if you click on the Tag, you will get a list of all of the tasks associated with that Tag.
The URL has the unique TAG id…
eg.
https://app.asana.com/0/1156692326827987/list
1156692326827987 is the Unique tag ID for that tag.
