All of my projects have due dates. I am wanting to create subtask like
21 days before due date
19 days before due date
10 days before due date
Each task will have around 15 sub tasks and I have 40 task items.
So I need to find a way to automatically create the sub tasks with a known due date.
Any ideas?
Thank you all so very much!!
Gary
One option may be Flowsana from @Phil_Seeman. You can create a template task with all sub task and use it as a template for all new tasks.
Another option is Zapier but for every task you will need 45 or more actions, so it will be slow to set up and you will need to be on a high paid tier.
I am not aware of a way to do this in Asana natively.
Hi @Gary_Bradshaw, welcome to the Asana Community Forum!
As it stands, it’s currently not possible to automatically create the subtasks with a due date connected to its parent task. I suggest you to upvote for this feature in this thread: Connect the due dates of subtasks to the due date of their parent task
Adding to what @IvanStaykov mentioned, you can find more information about Flowsana in this post: Flowsana: workflow automation for your Asana projects
I hope this helps! Let us know if you have any other questions.
@IvanStaykov is correct - Flowsana will automatically create these subtasks for you from a template. However, at present it won’t automatically assign the relative due dates that you’re asking for.
