We manage a number of different content calendars that are compiled into a master calendar. Combined, I can never see if we are maximizing the utilization of all of our communication channels. My dream scenario would be to see content that is scheduled for every channel that we manage to ensure that we’re utilizing all of our channels consistently. For example, are we posting in the blog 5 times per week, the YouTube Channel twice per week, Instagram stories twice per day, etc? I’d love to see this both historically and planned for the future. Is there a way of creating “empty containers” of sorts that outline optimal usage of our channels and seeing whether they are (or have been) filled, so to speak?

The way that I have done this in the past is to put placeholders in the content calendar & having a status associated with them (Not Started, In Production, Scheduled) and use the color associated with the single select status field to be my display in the calendar.
I would name the placeholders something like BLOG: TBD & when that blog is in production I would rename it & change the status to either “In Production” or “Scheduled” so that in the calendar I could see everything color coded appropriately, OR filter out scheduled/in production tasks.
