I have read the Project permissions part of the guide that says, “When a commenter is assigned a task, they get additional permissions on those specific tasks.” I tested this out and when I assigned someone a task, and I had them marked as commenter, they still couldn’t do anything with that task.
I just confirmed it works as expected (as a Commenter, I can complete/assign/change date for a task I’m assigned to, and not for those that I’m not assigned to.)
Try these troubleshooting steps, then please 1) Report your problem by going to Report a Bug, clicking the New Topic button at the right, and following the instructions, or 2) To create a support ticket, go to Asana Support - Help Center • Asana (make sure you are logged in to Asana) > click the chat icon at the bottom right > type “speak to an agent” > click “Yes” > click “Something Else” > click “Create a support ticket.”

Thanks Larry! I tested it with a colleague and he was able to complete/change items for a task he was assigned to, but only in the Details pane. He wasn’t able to change anything from the main screen. Is this how this is intended to function?
