Currently, if someone has “commenter” rights, and they are assigned a task, they have to open up the details pane of the task in order to make changes to it. It would be great if they could make their changes to their task in the main window line item like everyone else.
Which changes, given that they can’t do anything except comment?

If someone has commenter rights, but they are assigned a task, they are able to update anything for JUST the task they are assigned. But they have to open up the details view in order to do so. They cannot update their task in the main view on the task line.
I was almost certain this is not true, but I checked.
You can:
- change the assignee
- change the date
- change custom fields
- comment
You can’t:
- add subtasks

I agree, that is weird, you need to open the task panel to make those changes.
