Combine Duplicate Projects

2 people on the same team inadvertently started a project for the same thing. They’ve both added tasks and items in conversations. How can I combine these into one project?

Thanks!!

Hi @Jenny_Rachford! Unfortunately, we don’t have a feature allowing you to “merge projects”, but my advice would be to keep the project with the most tasks (let’s call it Project A) and to move all tasks from the other project (let’s call it project B) in to Project A.

You can easily do so, by multiselecting all tasks from Project B (Task actions: create, move, duplicate, and more | Product guide • Asana Product Guide), opening the “Project” field and adding Project A + removing Project B.

Unfortunately, there is no way to move conversations, so I’m afraid you would have to recreate Project B conversations into Project A.

Hope this helps; have a great day!
