Colors for columns and ability to bold or change color of text in titles of column and tasks

I would also love this feature!

please tell, what about colors of columns?

it’s been a few years already, do we have it now or is there any plan for future?

It would be nice if there was an option to format specific columns or task lines while in List view. My company uses ASANA to track specific financial info for projects and we have a number of columns which has financial info in it. Having the ability to at least highlight a specific column or task/subtask with color shading and/or text formatting (ie. bolding, etc.) as a way to bring attention to a specific column or task/subtask would be very helpful and useful.

Hi @Shawna_Wheatley , welcome to the forum :waving_hand:

Done, @Shawna_Wheatley

I’m marking as In Development purely based on our investment in the ability to enable colored backgrounds for columns in Board view. This is already being tested internally, and should soon start rolling out externally. We’ve since added more markdown formatting options within text editing fields which addresses the other half of this request.

Plus 1 for colour-coded columns in board view. Essential. Hope it comes soon! Can’t wait for this update

I really like the background colors in board view in bright mode, but in dark mode they look strange and rather irritating. I don’t know how they could be improved but like this it simply looks off.

Hello All,

I am new to the ambassador program and excited to be apart of the forum. I love that this idea is already in development. Out of curiosity, will the change of color in columns be triggered by a custom field chosen or set to function as conditional formatting in excel? I am currently trying to flag a column red if the number is below a certain threshold using the portfolio view. I am aware I can create rules to create tags/alerts in the project level by using specific dates to track if we met the criteria set for each week.
