I don’t know if this feature is in the works already but it would be cool to have the option to highlight or change the color of text when writing the Task Description.
Sometimes I want to highlight something as super important and all I can do is write in ALL Caps and change to Bold when maybe having the text in Red or Highlighted Yellow would probably be better to capture my coworkers attention.
Welcome to the Community Forum @victoria3 and thank you so much for sharing your feedback with us! I don’t have any info to share at the moment, but I’ll make sure to update this thread as soon as I do!
Ok, no update, but is this future on any upcomming “Road plans”? Or this is something, what Asana team is hearing/discussing for the first time today? Please, give us at least some basic info/hope. Thanks…
I definitely vote for colors! (there is also others duplicate threads… please, keep the votes together)
As far as I’m aware we’ haven’t planned to implement color support in the near future, but this is definitely something our team is keeping in mind! On my end, I’ll make sure to loop you in as soon as I have more information!
Yes, absolutely vote for colors!
Now with “rich text” support in description field, this should be an easy task but huge improvement!
…comments in different color
…gray as old text version
…green as partialy finished
…etc (cross text will be also fine)
how do we add colour to the text in the comment section? Would be huge for my team if we could change the colour of the text. Is there a way to get strikeout and highlights as well?
+1 Text colors would be great. I’d like to use colors like green (verified/one), orange (in progress), and red (to-do) to color code things in the text
Yes please add more formating options to Task Descriptions. Everyone is used to formatting in Word and email. I would love to be able to color highlight text, make multi-level lists that behaves like Word. For examle if I hit ENTER twice after a numbered list, I would like the option to continue the numbering instead of making me start over.
I cannot believe that in 2020, decades after the invention of the first VGA colored screen, we are still asking for colored text. Why do I need my 38-inch 4K monitor if I can only write in black bold?
The odd thing about the delay of the color option is, that hyperlinks automatically convert to blue, so obviously the use of color in the description field is already present, so how hard can it be to add it as an accessible color formatting feature or shortcut to all end users?
