Hi Asana community,
Today I would like to announce Asana is launching Collaborative Status Updates
Keeping everyone aligned on projects, portfolios, and goals is essential for effective teamwork. In Asana, collaborative status updates streamline communication, ensuring stakeholders stay informed—without endless meetings or scattered email threads. By making updates more dynamic, transparent, and actionable, teams can focus on progress rather than tracking down information.
With this update, we’ll explore how Asana’s enhanced status updates empower teams to share insights, track milestones, and drive projects forward—all while fostering collaboration and accountability. Whether managing a single project or overseeing a strategic portfolio or goal, here’s how to make the most of this powerful feature.
What’s New?
You can now invite collaborators to contribute to status updates for Projects, Portfolios, and Goals before they’re published! Available to all tiers.
How It Works:
-
- Draft an update.
-
- Add collaborators (both full members and guests).
-
- Collaborators receive a notification when added and can edit the status update.
-
- Find all drafts in the Status dropdown, accessible by both draft owners and collaborators.
- Find all drafts in the Status dropdown, accessible by both draft owners and collaborators.
FAQ:
Who can publish a Status Update? Only the draft owner can publish the update.
How can Collaborators (guests or full members) participate in the publication of the Status Update? By creating a follow-up task for the draft owner.
The workflow remains the same for Projects, Portfolios, and Goals.
Happy drafting together!
