I’ve been having this issue for about a month: it’s exactly as described in an older post:
- I either hit Tab+t on a task or click a “Tags” cell in a project tasks list
- I type a new tag name
- I only barely see a thin white line instead of the “Create tag for” button/link
This happens on both Chrome (143) and Firefox (146) on my Linux computer.
I already tried the troubleshooting steps:
- disabling all extensions/addons
- upgrading to latest version
- clearing cache, history and cookies
- passed the connectivity test
Thanks in advance for your kind help.
If you haven’t already, I would definitely contact Asana support on this one.
Hello @Gonzalo_Delgado
Totally get how annoying this is. I’ve been seeing a few reports recently where the Create tag button doesn’t fully render, and you only get a thin white line. Thanks for doing all that troubleshooting already.
A couple of quick checks and workarounds you can try:
-
After you type the new tag name, press Enter. If nothing happens, press Enter again. Even if the button isn’t visible, the create action can still fire.
-
Reset your browser zoom to 100 and try again. I’ve noticed that UI elements disappear at specific zoom levels. Also, try resizing the window a bit wider.
-
Try creating the tag on a task in My Tasks to rule out project permissions. If the task is in a project where you only have comment access, you won’t be able to add tags.
-
If you can, test on a different device or OS just once. That will help us confirm if this is Linux-specific rendering.
If it still fails, please contact our Support team so we can grab details and logs to investigate:
In your message, include:
-
A short screen recording or screenshot of the thin white line
-
Exact steps you followed
-
Browser versions and that you’ve tried with extensions disabled.
