Clicking on an Asana-card link outside the app:
App opens an interface showing only that card… with no discernable way (button, etc.) to return to the home view. “Back” button doesn’t work because there’s technically no history when you’re opening a link directly.
(In the browser version, I’d have the Asana logo to click if necessary).
Steps to reproduce:
Copy an asana link, install the app, open the link and allow it to redirect you to the view of the card.
Browser (link opened from) Chrome (Version 112.0.5615.86 (Official Build) (64-bit))
Asana Plan: is Premium.
Hi @Paul_Thompson_altern , welcome to the forum
I’m a bit confused as to where you are starting to click from to open the task details (which appears to open up in full-screen). You mention:
but your post title suggests otherwise, referring to a Dashboard…?
However, I followed your steps as per this:
I’ve reproduced this and it seems to be expected behaviour; a task link will open in full-screen, and from there the expected user input would be to click on the X (close) in the upper right corner which should return you to the Project that the task is located in. Have you tried that?
I’m moving this thread to the Tips and Tricks section for the time being, since it is likely not a bug.
