Can I "merge" a basic and premium account

I have two basic accounts, one for business and one for personal work. I want to switch the business one to a a premium account and not affect the personal one. I followed the instructions on “merging” (not a good name, by the way, the accounts aren’t really merged, just available under the same login, buit clearly appear to be separate), and am happy with the setup. I just don’t want to end up accidentally buying two premium accounts when I only need one. I suspect the answer is yes, that works, but I want to be sure before proceeding.

Thanks!

Hi @Robert_Zorich, thanks for reaching out and sharing your feedback with us!

Paid plans are associated to a Team/Organization/Workspace but not individual users. In this case, if you merge your accounts, you will be able to access your Asana account from both email addresses but this won’t change the number of seats available in your paid plan.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions

Actually, I don’t understand this answer, it’s a bit confusing and since you are using what appears to be asana specific language: Team/Organization/Workspace … these are different things, right? Anyway, I manage my two accounts, using two separate emails. Are each of those email accounts called a “Workspace” in your terminology? Or an Organization? The teams are created within the email account, so I don’t see how that can be associated with a premium account.

And I’m not concerned with changing numbers of seats, I am concerned that if I sign up for premium using email address A, that I will pay twice, one for email address A and, due to merging, one under email address B.

Thanks
