Since 23/05, I’ve had no response from the Asana help centre regarding a problem with a “the start date is approaching” rule. I’ve contacted the Asana helpdesk several times but they’ve only replied to me once, asking me a question which I answered, and then they’ve never given me a solution.
I don’t know if there’s a phone number where I can reach them?
If not, could someone here help me?
I have a problem with a rule that doesn’t work with a deadline = “the start date is approaching”. I enclose below a screen printout :
I don’t understand why “the start date is approaching” rule doesn’t work when the one that has to be run manually does. Is there something I haven’t set up properly?
Hi @Pauline_Voisin, thanks for reaching out and sorry for the trouble getting in touch with our support team. I’ve connected with them directly to help speed things up so you can get a resolution as soon as possible.
In the meantime, feel free to let me know if you have any other questions!
I’m surprised it doesn’t assume the start date to be equal to the due date…
The only way I can see to work around that - assuming you’d want the rule to work at due date when it hasn’t got a start date - would be with two rules:
When due date is approaching, check if start date is empty, do the thing
Hi Jan!
Thanks for your answer.
I do have a start date and a due date in my project. What I didn’t specify in my first message is that the rule worked fine before I added the deadline ‘se ejecuta manualmente’. The problem therefore stems from this addition, as if Asana does not allow the rule to be triggered if the first deadline is reached (due to the addition of a second deadline). However, if I trigger the rule via ‘se ejecuta manualmente’, the rule works.
I don’t know if this additional information will help to understand the problem.
Many thanks to everyone
