I created a report that we can fill out and the entire report can then be created as a task. This is great, but I am wondering if each item in the report can create it’s own task, but still be together as a report, rather than the entire report be 1 task. I hope that makes sense
Welcome, @Cami_Tribe,
I’m going to assume that you mean “form” when you use “report.”
I’m afraid one form submission = one task and that can’t be changed.
But you could, after form submission, add subtasks to the main task for each of the separate items. They will each have their own task to assign, set due date, multi-home, etc., and all of those line items will be grouped to the parent task/submission and one click away.
Thanks,
Larry
Hi Larry,
Thank you so much for the reply and for the work around! I will give that a try.
Thank you,
Cami
Can I ask another question? I created a list with assignees/tasks/etc and it could also work, but can a list be made into a template like a form? We will be using this a lot-probably a few times daily. Thank you
You can go to How to use Asana, Asana tutorials, onboarding tips, and team use cases | Product guide • Asana Product Guide and type in the search box at the top “Task Templates” and see if that’s what you’re looking for. Also try “Project Templates.”
Thanks,
Larry
Thank you so much! I will check those out.
