Auto Reflect Task's Status in Two Projects

Hello,

I have two projects in Asana

  • Project A (List) for granular tasks by work stream.
  • Project B (Board) used for Sprint Planning.

Is there a way to have tasks in Project A automatically update within the proper column of Project B’s board view when a custom field (Status) is changed?

For Example:
Project A -
Task 1: Do The Thing
Status: In Progress

Project B -
Column 1: Backlog
Column 2: In Progress → Task 1 (from Project A)
Column 3: Done

Short answer: no.
Long answer: Asana has no “automatic” workflow, so nothing can make a task change column by itself (except an external tool like Zapier or a custom dev with the API)

Hi @Isaac_Roybal, and welcome to the Forum!

@Bastien_Siebman is right, we don’t have a built)in feature to automate this process, that said this is something you should be able to build with Zapier.
