I have recently just started using Asana, and we are trying to auto-forward emails from my company inbox into tasks in our Asana project. I have included my email in the Asana settings, and have the rules set up in Outlook so that everything is automatically forwarded to my Asana project email. However, for some reason the emails are not populating in Asana and I get a message in outlook stating: “Your message wasn’t delivered because the recipient’s email provider rejected it.”. When I forward the emails manually, they are able to populate in Asana though. Any help with fixing this would be greatly appreciated!

Have a look at this help article it might give you tips…

Also try just forwarding one email to see if it works.
I have known some enterprises don’t allow auto-forwarding to external accounts.

It works when I manually forward them perfectly fine. However it will not work for auto-forwarded emails, and that is what we need it for. Unfortunately, the article does not help out with the issue… any other tips to fix this would be greatly appreciated!
Hi @Clay_Macdonald, Can you check with your Outlook admin if they allow auto-forwarding, as I think that might be your problem.
The fact that manually forward works indicates the the outlook to asana integrations is setup correctly.
Maybe try auto-forwarding to another email account to see if that works, just make sure it is outside your enterprise.
Jason.
I have somewhat similar issue arised in past 4 days. Auto forwarding emails to Asana project email is not working. Tried this with cPanel mail filter option/rules and our website CMS. The mail is being sent, but is getting lost on Asanas end, doesn’t appear in projects.
