Assigned project owner not showing up on portfolio level timeline

Hello,

I’m experiencing an issue where the assigned Project Owner names no longer appear in the timeline view of a portfolio in Asana. Previously, the project owner was displayed, but now it’s just a blank bar.

Troubleshooting Steps I’ve Tried:

  • Signed in and out of Asana
  • Removed any filters on the view
  • Adjusted layout options
  • Remove and reassign the project owner
  • Created new portfolios to test
  • Created a completely new team, portfolio, and project to check if the issue persists

The issue is not just affecting me—my team members are also seeing the same problem.

I’ll attach screenshots showing how it looked before (with project owner names) vs. how it looks now (missing project owners) for reference.

Did I accidentally change a setting, or is this a bug? Any insights on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated!

Hi @Ronna_Waites , welcome to the forum :waving_hand:

This is a recent update to the Portfolio timeline view. Look for the Options button in the top right area where you should be able to toggle the Owners to appear again. Then make sure to Save view.

Appreciate your response! Can you possibly share a screenshot where I can toggle? Here’s my view and I tried everything on here (layout options, filters, sort,)

Hi @Ronna_Waites , that’s strange! I’m actually seeing the same as you! :thinking:
My answer was based on a post in the private Ambassador Forum .
