Assign templates to Projects created via power automate

Hey All,

I might be trying to do something that is impossible - I have used Microsoft’s Power Automate to create a project in Asana when someone submits a form via Microsoft Forms. I was wondering if it is possible to Automatically assign a Template to this project once it has been created through that flow (thereby creating tasks/assignments without the need for this to be done by a human)?

Welcome, @Pip_Torelli,

There’s no facility in Asana to assign a project template to a project after creation.

However, the Asana API does expose a way to create a project from a template directly. This is supported by Zapier and others:

I don’t see the same capability in Power Automate (but don’t use it so perhaps worth checking more closely).
