When integrating Asana tasks with my Outlook calendar, it shows the task; however, it does not indicate which project it refers to. For instance, gives the title of the task, and if I click on it, I get the Outlook Calendar information page with a link that takes me to the Asana project. It would be very helpful if, instead of saying “Follow up with stakeholder,” it said "(Project Name): Follow up with Stakeholder.
Do I need to set up the rule differently? Does anyone know how to solve this?
Thank you.
Hi @Wendi_Presley! The built‑in calendar sync sends the task name and a link, but it doesn’t let you customize the event title to add the project name. So what you’re seeing is expected right now.
A couple of workarounds you could consider are:
- Add the project name to the beginning of the task title (e.g., Project Alpha: Follow up with stakeholder).
- Use task naming conventions or prefixes if you regularly sync tasks to your calendar.
If having the project name displayed in calendar events would be valuable for your workflow, I’d also recommend submitting it as product feedback, as I can see how that would make the integration much more useful.
Thank you!
