Dear Asana Community,
I’m facing the following challenge in my company when working with Asana and the Everhour integration:
We’re in the service industry and track our working hours in Asana, which are then synchronized to Everhour. These time entries form the basis for our invoicing — so far, so good.
In Everhour, I’ve set up reports that are categorized exactly the same way as in Asana (e.g., categories like “Project Management” or “Training”). These categories are needed to be displayed on the invoices.
Here’s the challenge:
We’ve set up a rule in Asana that, for example, when a task is created or moved into the category “Training,” the task is also added to another project (this is required for internal workflow reasons). But this second project also has its own categories (sections).
Now, in Everhour, the category from the second linked project is sometimes displayed — I don’t know when or why exactly. This causes the invoice to show the wrong category. However, Everhour should actually retain the category from the main project.
Has anyone experienced this issue and possibly found an explanation, solution, or workaround?
Thanks a lot in advance!
