Asana restored user unable to login or reset password

Asana user was restored, now he is not able to login. If he selects forgot password, the email is not coming to his Outlook. I tried for me and its working. Please guide, thank you.

Hi @Nisha_Jhunjhunwala,

An admin might be able to reset their password. (The feature is there under editing a user > security, I’m just not sure if it is available on all plans)

Naturally, resetting their own password after that is recommended.

Thank you, I tried that. But that step also sends an email and he is not receiving it. I am not able to change from admin portal as well.

Have you tried Support as @Jan-Rienk suggested?

I’m not sure, but I’d be careful and not follow @Bhumika_Bihani’s advice here unless you’re positive this will not be destructive; I’m concerned it might close off options to do that (but I’m not sure).

If the issue persists, your best next step is to contact our Support team as @Jan-Rienk and @lpb suggested. They can look into what’s specifically blocking the invitation and help you resolve it.

As Larry mentioned, I would hold off on removing and reinviting the user for now. It’s better to wait until Support confirms the best route :slight_smile:
