Dear Vanessa,
could you please give more insights on these topics

  • (Advanced) IT workflow packages: Deploy specialized workflow templates for IT ticketing, incident management, and support operations.

Can you share more detail on this?

  • (Advanced) Jira sync enhancements: Maintain better alignment between Asana and Jira with improved synchronization and field mapping.

I’m still encountering a problematic bug (that I’ve reported many times) where the Assignee & Due Date do not sync correctly. Is this what they are aiming to fix with this update?

Quite a list, nice going! Now, just looking for Asana Comment emails to include screenshots and attachments in the email. Especially screenshots…next month?..

Can you give more information on what the Outlook integration changes entail? The link takes me to the full Outlook instructions, not what is new.

Also, could you let everyone know when the comments will be sorted in descending order? This is a huge issue for our team because we have a lot of comments on a task.

We are also still struggling with this issue. It’s been going on for several weeks… maybe longer.

Going on almost 8 months for us :frowning: Asana informed me it has not been prioritized, but perhaps that will change with this update!

Still waiting for color options for text…

Hi everyone, thank you for all your comments here, and apologies for the delay. To avoid spamming you all with multiple notifications, I’m responding to all questions in this comment:

@Richard_Sather – Project dependencies enhancements refers to the fast follow improvements we made to address some of the frustrations caused by the “maintain buffer” changes launched a couple of months ago. We shared more details in this update: 💬 You spoke, we built: additional improvements to dependency auto-shifting

And Custom task types improvements: Create more specialized workflows with enhanced custom task type functionality and better field customization* refers to the addition of custom task templates in our prebuilt AI Workflows (Asana smart templates) announced in our Spring 2025 release: Spring 2025 Release: Unlock speed and scale for your teams with AI workflows.

@Jenny_Jockheck – The items you asked about are also part of the prebuilt AI Workflows. These templates can be accessed in Asana via these links:

  • Request tracking template – Track every incoming request, route it to the right team, and monitor progress until completion.
  • Ticketing template – Set up a ticketing workflow that gets you from request submission to resolution, faster.
  • Creative requests template – Manage creative requests from intake to final delivery with a structured workflow.
  • Work intake template – Standardize intake, assess resourcing needs, and manage approvals.

@C_R_CT – This update refers to improvements in field mapping and capacity. As part of these changes, Jira project icons were removed from the sync configuration, allowing us to display and map more fields from Jira. This was based on feedback from users who ran into our backend storage limits. As far as I know, this update wouldn’t impact other areas of the integration. If you’re seeing behavior that looks like a bug, I’d recommend contacting our Support team so they can take a closer look or share any available updates on the status of the previous request. I’m sorry I can’t assist with that directly here in the Forum.

@Jeanine_Scott2 – The updates to the Outlook add-in were mainly bug fixes, including the attachment issue we tracked here in the Forum: Asana for Outlook add-in does not include attachment in tasks. The add-in itself hasn’t had any new functionality updates, so the Help article instructions are still up to date.

As for comment sorting, this isn’t currently on our roadmap, but if anything changes, we’ll be sure to post updates in the feedback thread :slightly_smiling_face:

Thanks everyone!
