Hi @Jerry_van_Es, welcome to the Community Forum!

I’m sorry for the trouble, the error message on your screenshot indicates it might be an issue with Project/Task Permissions (Comment only for example). Could you please double check what are your permissions for the task you’re trying to add a description?

Here are the steps to follow to check your project/task permissions:

If you could share a screenshot of these permissions with me it would be super useful!

Hi Emily,

Thank you. I think this is the issue indeed. Now I know it for next time. I still think it would be better to have a specific message saying “you can not make changes in this task” or something. Because for me, the reason of the continuous reloading wasn’t clear.

Cheers

Hi @Jerry_van_Es, thanks for getting back to me on this. I am happy to know it has resolved the issue. I completely understand your point and I will note your feedback to make sure it gets to our Product team. Let me know if you have any questions!

Have a great weekend! :grinning:

Hi There! I’ve the same problem - on Safari my Asana reloads over and over, after several seconds. I can’t work that way and I’m sure it’s not referring to level of permission because I have access to almost every project in asana. The bug appeared two months ago, so please let me know can you solve this problem? What weird, on other browsers everything works fine, but I want to work on Safari.

I uploaded messages displayed every time when Asana starts messing. Both are in Polish, so first one says: Problem with task occurred repeatedly (tab has been closed automatically). The second says: site wasn’t displayed properly because it consumed too many memory. And yes, those messages are displayed only when I use Asana on Safari.

Hi @Bartek_Brzoskowski, welcome to the Community Forum and I’m sorry to hear you are having difficulties here.

If it works in other browsers but not in Safari, for example, this indicates that the problem may be with Safari. Please follow the steps from this article to try to solve it. Ensure you have the latest version of Safari.

If the issue persists please let me know and I’d be happy to investigate further. In this case, if you are trying to access a project or task when you experience the issue, it would be very helpful if you could send me the URL.

Looking forward to your reply!

Emily - everything run fine of Firefox, Opera and Chrome. The issue appears only on Safari which I use to work with Asana. Have you any solutions for this?

Thanks for confirming this information, @Bartek_Brzoskowski and apologies for the inconvenience. Could you please send me a screenshot of your connectivity test results when using Safari: https://connectivity-test.asana.com/

Looking forward to your reply.

Yes, sure - below I attached screenshot. I noticed there is User agent: Mozilla/5.0 noted what is weird, but maybe problem lies there?

Thanks for sending this information @Bartek_Brzoskowski and apologies for the delay in response. I have gone ahead and created a bug to our development team. I will keep this thread updated as soon as I have more information.

Thanks for your patience and please let me know if you have any questions in the meantime.

Hi @Bartek_Brzoskowski, thanks for your patience while we investigate this issue. Our team has confirmed this issue can be quickly solved by disabling your browser extensions in Safari by following these steps.

I hope this helps!

Hi Emily, thx fo response  Unfortunately link you referred to is probably broken. When I clicked on this, I found just message that chosen site doesn’t exist. Can you send me info about improving my browser in here?
