Asana Desktop App notifications not working in MacOS

I have Asana Desktop version 2.4.1 (x64) on Mac OS Sequoia 15.7.1 (24G231) and I can’t recive any notification on my Mac Mini.
I have the same issue on MBP M1.
I want to be able to see a notification when a task is added or due.

I have activated desktop notification on the Asana App (everything is ticked and under project notifications as well), I have activated the notification on the System Preferences for Asana to the following (alerts and everything ticked except for sound)


This didn’t work, so I uninstalled Asana and re-installed again, but I still have the same issue. I never saw the pop-up message on the top right corner asking me if I’d allow Asana to send notifications.
I don’t even see the badge on the icon when a task is due with a due time.

Can someone help here?

Sorry to hear that you’re experiencing trouble with notifications. I am not a Mac user myself, but I found an older topic that seems to be similar to what you are experiencing.

Would you be able to try the troubleshooting steps outlined here?

I’m using Asana Desktop 2.4.1 on macOS Sequoia 15.7.1, but I’m not receiving any notifications—no alerts or badge icons, even though all settings in both Asana and System Preferences are enabled. I’ve reinstalled the app, but still didn’t get the usual permission prompt. This issue also happens on my MacBook Pro M1. Any ideas?

Yes I have tried this and the problem is not solved.

Step 3 “they got a little notification banner on the right side corner near the clock” never happened…

Wow, this is really not a helpful reply… The app is developed to run on Mac OS but you don’t want to offer support ofr Mac Os related issues??
This is very disappointing to be honest.

This is happening to our entire team as well. No desktop notifications for Asana even though we have gone through all of the troubleshooting steps.
