Hi All!
Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I’m stumped. I’m trying to have Asana AI access information in a Google Doc, which is attached to the task with the Workspace integration.
It says ‘Asana AI can access this’, but the rules always fail. I understand that it can’t override the permissions of access on the Google side of things, and it needs permission to access any document. But how exactly do I give it that access? It appears that the only way I can give Asana AI permission to read the attached Google Doc is to set it to ‘Anyone with the Link’ on Google Workspace. I really don’t want all of our docs public.
Am I missing something? Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated!
If it says that, then it should be able to access it, and it may be a bug and a good idea to contact support. See How to contact our Support Team 📧
Generally AI Studio can’t access linked files I think, unless specifically set in AI Permissions. So for files you use often it’s better to connect them directly to the rule.
Attach/link files using the paperclip icon at the bottom of the guidance window.
maybe relevant might be the permissions, which can be found in the menu below the guidance, the button with the sliders.
Hey @Roger_Rowles
#something with tokens?
Is the rule yours?
As I believe, that the token of the rule creator should be able to access the file.
Also, is the Google Drive integration yours?
Same, something might lay here.
On a related topic, recently, I’ve discovered that guests can’t use that integration to get the “Asana AI can access this”; it simply won’t work for them. They can attach Google files, but they won’t be taken into account by Asana AI.
