Archiving columns in the board view

I can't delete a column; what am I doing wrong?

Hello Marie. Do you possibly know, if there’s any possibility to change the way how deleting columns on the boards works? It’s terrible and inevitable real pain to delete all the tasks separately just for deleting the column. As well the deleting shortcut doesn’t allow to use one hand only and to the top of that one has to open the task and than delete it… It’s… hard.

Completing Columns Like You Can With Sections

We are using columns on a “Project Planning” project using the board layout, where we have goals/tasks divided into quarters. It would be nice if we could somehow archive the columns like you could do with checking off a section on a regular project. That way, as the quarters pass, we don’t need to have them show in the board on the far left and scroll each time we open the project. Or if you were able to move an entire column to another project. Archiving columns

It would be nice to be able to archive columns in board projects. I don’t want to loose the history, but for projects that have been ongoing for a long time having all these columns is troublesome
