We’re making AI Studio Basic a core part of the Asana experience! All eligible users in paid domains will soon have access to AI Studio Basic credits, eliminating the need for admins to manage access on an individual basis.

:newspaper: Here’s what’s changing:

  1. Automatic access: All users in an eligible domain will automatically gain access to AI Studio Basic credits.
  2. Eligible domains: AI Studio Basic will soon be enabled for all users in paid domains using Asana AI. For certain customers, Asana may disable the default settings for AI Studio in the admin console.
  3. No admin setup required: Eliminates the need for admins to enable AI Studio or manage individual access.
  4. Expanded availability: AI Studio Basic is now available to all paid tiers, including Starter and Advanced monthly plans.
  5. Domain-level control: Access is controlled at the domain level through AI settings in the Admin Console. To ensure that customers can configure Asana AI according to their organization’s preferences, eligible domains will gain access to the admin setting for “AI Automation” before AI Studio Basic becomes available for their domain.
  6. Simplified user management: For AI Studio Basic and Plus, all users in an account will have access. AI Studio Pro will still require adding members to a builder list.

:rocket: Rollout plan:

The rollout officially started this week and will be released in phases, based on customer tier and current access to AI Studio.

Phase I – Week of June 30

  • Eligible customers on Starter and Advanced monthly plans now have access to AI Studio and AI Studio Basic.

Q: Who is eligible for this change?
A: All customers on paid tiers (Starter, Advanced, Enterprise, Enterprise+) using Asana AI will have AI Studio Basic. For certain customers, Asana may disable the default settings for AI Studio in the admin console.

Q: Can admins still control AI Studio access?
A: Yes! Admins can still control AI Studio access through AI settings in the Admin Console. Admins can access the Admin Console at any time to ensure their “AI Automations” setting reflects their organizations’ preferences.

Q: What about AI Studio Plus and Pro?
A: Any paying tier can now purchase AI Studio Plus or Pro. For Plus, all users in the account will have access. For Pro, customers can decide who they want to consume Pro credits and add them to the builder list.

Q: Do I need to do anything to get access?
A: If you’re on an eligible paid plan, you should automatically have access to AI Studio Basic. Access is predicated on your ability to create or edit rules, so view-only users and guests cannot use AI Studio.
