Aggregating Tasks Across Multiple Boards

I’m looking for a way to create an entity that aggregates tasks from multiple boards and displays the values of those related tasks. The tasks in question are standalone tasks, not subtasks. I tried using dependencies, but I’m unable to view the relationship within the entity.
I understand I can define this entity as a section and add tasks to the project containing that section, but I’m interested in exploring other solutions. Is there any approach or best practice you recommend for achieving this? Additionally, is it possible to set up a parent-child hierarchy (similar to Jira’s epic-feature structure) without designating the parent as an entire project or portfolio? I need to manage many such entities, and using numerous projects to handle them isn’t a viable option.
Thank you for your help!

Welcome, @Shimon_Eidelman1,

I recommend you read in the Asana Help Center about:

  • multi-homing, which is adding a task to one or more projects, and
  • parent tasks and subtasks, which can be used for grouping purposes, as you request, without requiring projects.

Thanks,

Larry
