Adopt the Project brief format to tasks to improve wiki and knowledge base functionality

We’re seeing a lot of customers using Notion for its WYSIWYG editor with the ability to move content freely in the space. It would be great to be able to have tasks in a project have these same features (just like what we can now do with Project Briefs) so that we can create real searchable wikis and knowledge bases for internal and external teams.

Currently, you can only create one project brief (per project), but what if the Overview Tab was the index for all SOPs related to that project/Team/Organization and you could create multiple documents using this format.

There could even be a live (public) view only feature so the link to that task (or project) could be viewed by users outside of Asana. Please make this happen! We already have the technology! You could choose to create a normal (standard) task or a wiki/knowledge base task.

Hey @Marquis_Murray :wave:t2:

Thanks for taking the time to provide this feedback! Hopefully this is something we can implement in the future!

This would be insanely helpful. As I’ve now, I’ve exhausted my options for integrations and connectors that would help us better manage meeting notes, resources, SOPs, etc. from directly in Asana. Attachments aren’t ideal because you still have to go into Asana to create tasks and connect the work and treating “tasks” as anything but (ex. document, note forum, etc.) also isn’t very useful because there is extremely limited rich formatting. I’m at the point unfortunately where I’m on the hunt for another tool because it’s impossible to connect all of our work :frowning:

Thanks for the input, @kbuchanio! Sorry to hear that you’re looking for another solution.
I know it’s not ideal. This change would fix so many things. I agree with your comment about rich formatting as well. These are big needs for the platform. :crossed_fingers:
