Adding existing custom task types to a project template

I can create a custom task type in a template, and then share it.

But why can’t I add an existing custom task type to a template?

We are having the same issue. We have a large template we are creating for our customer facing projects and would love to add existing task types to it.

Workaround: Use a bundle, as those now support custom task types: Custom task types supported in Bundles (task templates & rules)

Hmm.. I seem to have this feature available, without any workarounds.
Perhaps it’s gradually rolling out?
