Add existing Task Template to an existing Bundle

It would be valuable to have the ability to add already pre-built task templates to a bundle. This would allow teams to reuse existing workflows with their descriptions, dates, and settings intact, rather than recreating them manually within the bundle.

Hi @Chelsea_C , you can add existing task templates to a new Bundle, but not an existing one.
If that works for you, you need to click into the Customize menu of the project that contains your task templates and then click the Add button where you should find the option to ‘Bundle this project’, like this post:

If you don’t see it, it means you already have another Bundle in that project.

AGREED! We also need the ability to use Task Templates in Rules to create new/subtasks.

@Beth_Seeber,

You can search in English Forum > Product Feedback for a topic to vote for task templates in rules.

But in the meantime, you can use rules themselves to do what task templates do (though a pain if you need them in both places because then you’d have two locations to maintain).

Thanks,

Larry

I agree on this as well! You should be able to create a task template and then add it wherever needed (e.g. to a bundle or another project). I have so many different task templates for something like a “blog” but have to create them separately because of this (which makes it a nightmare to update).

Yes - I’ve done this, but It would be valuable to add to an existing bundle. So I only have to add one bundle to mutiple projects.

Oh I agree and did not mean to negate your feedback request. It was just a thought in case it helped.

I agree with others here, that Task templates could be dealt as ‘objects’ that could be ‘attached’ to existing bundles and rules.

If I may, for added clarity, I will just add the word ‘existing’ (Bundle) to the thread title.
