We’d like to be able to create a rule that moves a subtask to another project when it is assigned to a certain person. Right now, we can’t add that type of rule to a subtask, only to the parent task.
A rule can run on both tasks and subtasks, it doesn’t apply to your case? Are your subtasks in this case manually created? Or coming from a template or a rule?
@Bastien_Siebman, I can’t speak for Natalia_Rose, but I’m hoping you or someone else can help me. I’m trying to create the following rule:
“When task is assigned” to “Designer X”, add the task to “Project B”
However, I need this to apply to both tasks and subtasks. Even when “Runs on tasks and subtasks” is toggled on, the rule only runs when conditions are met for a task, and NOT for a subtask.
I have a feeling it’s a limitation with the trigger “When task is assigned”.
I’m hoping this is a bug, because why have the “Runs on tasks and subtasks” toggle if it doesn’t work?
Thanks in advance for any advice.
I just tested this exact scenario and it works great. Can you share a screenshot of your rule please?
