Is there a way to add a status update to individual tasks? I’m currently doing this in the comments section but it’s not as effective. I think this would be a great feature.
Hi @Carly_Corcoran! Have you tried creating a text custom field and naming it “Task Status Update,” where you can manually update the status? You could also have AI fill it for you. I’d love to hear more about your use case so we can help explore other ways to solve your challenge.

Thanks for the suggestion! I just added the custom field. This is a decent workaround.

@Carly_Corcoran the other way to do it is with a custom task type - very effective!

Hey @Carly_Corcoran, as @Phil_Seeman mentioned, task types are great for ‘fixed’ status/stages/phases of tasks.
But if you want a high level note of text, you could take your Text field, as @Esteban_Giannini suggested, a step further:
