Why the slack does not work on rules now

I think others experience the same issue as I do which I can find in the post called “Slack integration in custom rules breaks daily

Since that topic is closed, I am writing here.

The slack integration works well until yesterday 07/27, yet starting from this morning, all the rules involved the slack integration broke and asked me to “reconnect”, which I did, and it did not help. Also, even I reauthorized the Slack, it does not help. Please see the screenshots below. This really affects our daily work. I hope someone can help us as soon as possible. Thank you!

Welcome, @Sophie_Kamiki, and sorry to hear this.

@Forum-team, I saw another post about this in the Ambassador Slack. Could you escalate?

Thanks,

Larry

And I am that person who posted in the slack! I am on an endless loop of trying to connect Slack to a rule. It broke, and every time I try to reconnect, I get stuck. I tried recreating the rule too and that is not working eitehr.

We are having the same issue. Keeps asking for us to re-authenticate and we do but still not working

Same experience here. All rules that were using Slack were working fine yesterday (7/27) but today (7/28) they are all broken and the re-authentication of Slack does not fix this either.

Update: Although the rules appear to be broken in Asana (still have the fix rule prompt associated with them), I am still receiving the Slack messages from the rules.

Same here. I was able to fix this issue for a short period of time and now it’s broken again and the reauthentication of slack does nothing.

I’m experiencing the same issue as of this morning, 7/28! Tried to reconnect Slack, recreate rules, authentication – I’m stuck in a loop :frowning:

Same issue. Tried de-authorizing the Asana app in Slack and then re-authorizing (after jumping through weird IT hoops). Finally got it re-authenticated. I was able to re-add the Slack specific parts of my rule - and Asana did send a message to Slack saying that a rule was added. But after saving the rule, it still showed an issue. When I went back in to edit the rule, it still says “User authentication not found” “Connect to Slack”. And I tested the rule and it does not send the intended message to Slack.

Hi everyone, thank you for your patience.
I’m happy to share that this issue has now been resolved.

The Slack rule authentication error was caused by a recent change and has been fixed. You should now be able to connect Slack to your rules normally without encountering the incorrect authentication error. Thank you!
