Who can a Guest assign tasks to?

If the guest user is there in an Asana project, will they be able to see members in ‘assignee’ if the member is not part of the project?

@Nisha_Jhunjhunwala,

I believe that Guests can see any members with whom they mutually share projects and teams memberships. In other words, if the Guest and two members are in one project, and the Guest and three other members are in a team together, then they can assign to those five members.

Are you sure about that?

For a large org I’m a guest at I can see everyone… And I’m not a member of any projects, nor am I in any team.

Which did surprise me if I’m honest.

I’m not sure, @Jan-Rienk, and wrote “I believe…” to hedge slightly because I haven’t tested this.

Maybe others can weigh in?

@Nisha_Jhunjhunwala @lpb From my experience I conclude that guests can see all org members, even without them being in the same project and/or team.

The requirement for being in the same task, project, portfolio, or team to see others does seem to hold true for a guest’s ability to find,@mention, or assign tasks to other guests.
